Background. Urinary capillariosis in dogs is caused by Capillaria plica (syn. Pearsonema plica), a ubiquitous parasitic nematode resembling string which belongs to the family Capillariidae. It parasitizes feline, canine and musteline urinary bladder, has been found ureters renal pelvises as well. C. an indirect life cycle, with earthworms (Lumbricina) intermediate hosts domestic wild animals (dog, cat, fox wolf) primary hosts. Infection of occurs via ingestion that contain infective first stadium (L1) larvae. An alternative path infection for assumed be soil contaminated infectious larvae derived from decomposed earthworms. mostly asymptomatic, but clinical picture presents pollakiuria, dysuria, haematuria, polydipsia, incontinence and/or fever. Scope Approach. The aim this review highlight importance dogs. Since health care carnivores extremely important, provides information about morphology, biology epizootiology nematode. Due disease clinicians increased prevalence during last decade many countries, latest on pathogenesis, signs, diagnosis, treatment prevention infection. Key Findings Conclusions. Capillariosis usually accidentally diagnosed due nonspecific signs there no choice. Practitioners should consider latent possible cause while examining tract diseases.
